Lookback: August Alsina Rocked Dope ROPER White/Plaid Shirt At 2014 BET Awards

Gotta love the creativity presented, and kudos to designer Roper, who designed this plaid shirt with dip detailing for 2014 BET Awards. It retails for $275.

It's a pretty cool design that goes with the overall look that August had, from plaid sneakers, pants, and what I call 'semi-dreads'. Represents a crisp, clean but not-too-serious style that still makes an impact.

Hello, it's been a looooooooong time but I'm back... At least for now. I have been extremely busy planning my first runway show, which will debut at International institute of Metro Detroit on Friday, October 19 at 7 pm. The event is called UNTITLED Runway Show, and will have a NYC twist to it. I've got over 25 models I need to keep track of, including 7 designers... Ad much much more that extends beyond that.

But I'm getting by... Boy so busy for real. And also my 'VINTAGE TIES BY JAIDEN' line is doing really well, going to be doing a revamp of the line real soon. So more info forthcoming. Anyways...



So anyway, what do you think of Rihanna's look at her performance in Azerbaijan? She wore the short hair, the urban boots, and that amazing, whimsical dress. I thought it was hott, y'all...

TYGA Performing In Astronomically-Priced, $4,000 CELINE SUNGLASSES!! WHEW!!

Rapper Tyga is usually known for his ridiculously expensive purchases, like A$AP Rocky. At the BET Awards, Tyga wore a $3,000 leather shirt. NOW.... look at the above picture, he's wearing $4,000 CELINE sunglasses! To somewhat justify, the glasses' temples are solid gold.

Dude had some other solid gold stuff on, but we won't get to that... the glasses is enough for me.

Rihanna Inks Her 17th Tattoo! I Like Tats, Just Not That Many...

If she keeps this up, she may be inked EVERYWHERE! I wonder what Nivea has to say about that, but as Rihanna says, 'I'm just going do whatever I want to do.'

Rihanna has a new tattoo of an eagle, in the shape of a GUN, on her right ankle. Pretty cool... she went to the same guy she's been going to for all her tattoos.

Amber Rose... With Another Tattoo? Please Don't Be Like Ur Hubby Wiz!!

Amber Rose was spotted out after the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, with her hubby Wiz Khalifa. While she was wearing a flowy white dress, sky blue Chuck Taylors, and her signature blonde haircut, she sports a LUCKY LEAF on her right shoulder. I do hope that it's temporary.. if it isn't, not that I really care, but it would ruin the FLOWERS already on her arm.

I just hate it when people screw up their already-nice tats with some WHACKISH mess.

Derrick Rose in GQ Spread for May 2012 Issue

Derrick Rose plays ball of course, but he can play in the fashion field, too. Even though it's more than likely that GQ stylists styled Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls, but he can dress himself quite well off-court.

Derrick has done a photo shoot for GQ Magazine for the May issue, and there are some cool looks here, except for that real tight outfit I just can't... uhh... mesh with. I don't know what one of the stylists were thinking... but it's whatever...

This is the one I DON'T like... too tight! The shirt is forgivable, but not the pants!

Rihanna's New Collarbone 'CROSS' Tattoo!!

Rihanna has yet another one.

Sporting about at least 20 or so tattoos (correct me if I'm wrong), Rihanna has another tattoo, this time a small 'cross' on her collarbone. Has she found 'religion'? hmm... perhaps. All of Rihanna's tattoos are not jailhouse but are rather small and are deep in meaning, kind of like mine.

Sidenote: Tattoo artist is BANG BANG in New York

I also like Rihanna's tat and its placement because it can be hid under a necklace for fashion events and can be exposed at another time. On another note, check out the Ray-Bans. CLASSIC.

BODY ART: The Story Behind NY Giants' Devin Thomas's Tattoos

It's always so cool and interesting to see a story behind a tattoo or tattoos. In New York Giants' Devin Thomas's case, his BODY ART is a book! See below to see what they mean, in Devin's words:

The tats include a spartan, a Wolverine (name of the college team in his hometown of Ann Arbor, Michigan) , a prayer that use to be located on his mom’s wall (he had it inked after she passed away) and a scene from ancient Egypt. He also had a Broken Heart and HK (Heartbreak kid) inked behind his ear after his heart was broken by a girl during his second year in the NFL, a cartoon warrior name Goku on his back (to protect him) as well as the words ‘Love, Live Life’ (to represent his key to happiness: “Love and then you’ll be able to live life”).

“Obviously, being in D.C., it was very stressful. After the season, I was ready to get to a needle.” He’s now, with the Giants team, happier than he’s ever been, he said, and so “I don’t have to express my anger so much.” The tattooing has slowed and is more subtle, but that’s not a precursor to the complete end of his inking.

TREY SONGZ's Tattoos In VMan Magazine Photo Shoot

I like tattoos. I. WANT. MORE. But I actually can't have too many because I'm a model. I have seven, which is all I need, but I need an EIGHTH one. Check out Trey Songz tattoos in the latest VMAN Magazine photo shoot (above).

I like the symmetrical design of the two ladies on Trey's back, and the nature coming forth through leaves and feathers on Trey's shoulders; there's also the signature scripture on Trey's left pec as well as various other tats. His facial expression and structure is very serene and at the same time speaks volumes. The half-wing medallion ties in very well with the symmetrical back tattoo. Accessories are simplistic.

Great job to the photographer and amazing aura this gives off.

DRAKE Rocks Aaliyah Tattoo On His Back... Hmm.

DRAKE is the dude on the right of this photo.

Check his new AALIYAH tattoo on his mid-left side of his back. Wow... that's some kinda love to get a woman's face tattoo on a guy's back... especially Aaliyah, who had passed years ago.

I wonder what was Drake's motive, but anyway a good tattoo is good art (coincides with FASHION, hence Art is Fashion).

Fash, Crash, and Burn: The Girl With The 'DRAKE' Tattoo On Her Forehead

Chris Brown, Drake, and just about everybody in the tattoo world would DISPROVE of this DUMB ISH, myself included.

About 2 weeks ago (or so), this crazy girl went to the tattoo parlor and requested that 'DRAKE' be tattooed on her forehead. I wonder how did that tattoo artist react to that, and did this guy have some COUTH to tell her that he would not damage his TATTOO REP by doing this??

Well needless to say from the pic above, the girl (SHAVED EYEBROWS AND ALL) had the Drake tattoo done.

Word got out FAST, and Drake was upset and went INNNNN on video to all parties involved! He looks funny being all mad, though. But anyway, the pic above ends up on my FASH, CRASH, AND BURN category.

My first post on Chris Brown's tattoos (about a year ago) was about his tattoo sleeves. Now this one is on his new NECK TATTOOS!

I really got to find out the meaning of the feathers on Chris's neck. Do I like them? NO. Would Chris care? NO. But do Chris Brown and I like tattoos? YES! (I have 7)

Yes, tattoos are ART and a part of FASHION, too. And it IS true that Chris has some of the best tats in the game.

More Pics of CHRIS BROWN's Artful Tattoo Sleeves... and My Tats, Too.

As I have posted in recent weeks about Chris Brown's tattoos, I said that they were very artful and unique in the way he expresses himself. His tattoo sleeves are like the latest Air Jordans which have designs that represent Michael Jordan's years in the NBA. I showed a few pics of his tattoo sleeves before; I'm going to show more now and explain what the designs are.

I got a couple tats that are deep in meaning, giving reverence to God in Latin. I will show you one after Chris Brown's.

FAME - Forgiving All My Enemies

A Twitpic of Chris with his chest tatted up very cleverly. Check out the wings.. My GOSH, who is the artist?? He is GOOOOOOOD!!

Check out the sleeves from late last summer. He's got stars, messages, an image of Jesus, an "angry paint can," roses, a skull on his hand, "Nintendo Mario"- looking characters, a torch, several faces, and more. They all seem to blend together so seamlessly, like one big story.

Even if Chris has these PERMANENT tattoo sleeves that most people are admittedly scared of getting (for me, I will always keep my tats where they are hidden for business purposes, and just for knowing WHAT MY NATURAL ARMS LOOK LIKE, instead of seeing it scribbled all over for the rest of my life), it's undeniable that his tattoo sleeves are a work of art compared to jailhouse sleeve tattoos like Lil' Wayne and other guys out there. No offense, but going for ART instead of "jailhouse" tats is much better. REALLY.

Good morning, check out Chris Brown's tattoos.. he's upgraded to TWO FULL SLEEVES. I wouldn't do that for me but for Chris, I have to say it looks good, and his tattoo artist's work is impeccable blending in different "fields" of Chris's life (airbrushing, prayer, music, etc.) onto his arms. I'm always admiring different kinds of art, and admiring tattoo art on my blog is a FIRST. Yup...
