Sneaker of the Day: Pierre Balmain Gold Zip Sneakers

Saw these sneakers of Upscale Hype, and was just like... 'I gotta have those, well in a cheaper version.' These 'Lexis' sneakers, by Pierre Balmain, retail for $735 and feature a patent leather cap toe, suede leather, gold zip inserts, wax laces, and loads of leather on the insole.

B.E.T.'s 2012 'Rip The Runway' Tonight!! (UPDATE; Includes REVIEW and Grade Of Show)

B.E.T.'s 'Rip The Runway' is a relatively young show that has really taken FASHION to another level by bringing it to the national airwaves (hence other competitors like NBC's 'Fashion Star'). The hosts for this year is Pooch Hall ('Derwin' from 'The Game') and supermodel Selita Ebanks.

If you know me, then you MUST know I'm all eyes and ears on this show. Guests are out-of-this-world fashion designers, as well as performers like Diggy Simmons and Jeremih, Estelle, Lil' Kim, Wale, and more.

Update of 'Rip The Runway' 3/21/2012:

Rip The Runway was a very exciting show to behold, with performers in the midst of models strutting down the runway. Lots of Louboutins and Steve Maddens were spotted on the runway. Female models had OH SO MUCH beauty (mmm...) and the curvy girls who wore COLOR-BLOCKING clothes truly represented; a high point of the night. The male models, looking like straight out of a Sean John and GQ spread, carried tons of SWAGGER.

LaQuan Smith and the debut of Sass by Selita was also a high point.

On the downside, the show didn't deliver as much BANG as I thought it would. The decor, the background, the runway design, the hype crowd WON me over. The distraction was the performers all up on the runway with the models; I think the runway should be LEFT for the models while the performers do their shot 'off-center' like Robin Thicke did. Another distraction was I was hoping that the performers/models wouldn't bump into each other.

'Rip The Runway' celebrated urban designers but it seemed to be missing something; I'm honestly not exactly sure what it was. Was it that the program was too short (I didn't want it to end)? Was it the hosts (I thought Selita and Pooch were GREAT, but I would've preferred a little more behind-the-scenes interaction)? Was it that Angela Simmons was the only celeb to do a makeover on ONE girl (I wanted more makeovers for more girls)?

I shouldn't have to feel like I enjoyed NBC's 'Fashion Star' more than BET's 'Rip The Runway'.

You decide for yourself. The grade I give: B-

Hey, check out this candid picture of me at WWE's Smackdown Event in Detroit (Dec. 28)! I had such a great time and the atmosphere was ROCKIN' that night!

So one of my friends took this picture of me in my laid-back but still ON-POINT looking clothes. I had my black cap, simple black T, Levi's jeans, Kenneth Cole watch, and custom 'marble' Ray-Bans.

AND my skin was positively glowing... that SHEA BUTTER lotion works wonders.

Happy Thanksgiving 2011 From The Only Jaiden!

Dear Reader,

I just want to say with all my heart, even though I may not know who you are, HAPPY THANKSGIVING. This is a time to truly give thanks and be grateful for all help received in times of trouble, and being thankful for being surrounded with love as you spend time with your family and friends.

Sometimes family may argue or may not be the key or "ideal" family that you may want to spend the holidays with, but I believe at this critical time, all differences should be set aside to welcome an open heart and open arms because it will truly make a difference in your day.

Remember to "KEEP IT 100" and even though it's Thanksgiving and you're being comfortable, look your best at all times; show your family how good you look!! :-)

Rihanna 'Ball So Hard' VACATION PICS (And 'You Da One' Update)

Rihanna has created a new Facebook album entitled 'BALL SO HARD VACA PICS' or something like that. It's a collection of her vacation pictures with her friends. She has vacationed in Italy, Brazil, and off the coast of Southern France.

Here on THE ONLY JAIDEN, this is my FIRST ISSUE celebrating my ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY of doing this blog, so it's quite a 'self-honor' to place this beautiful young woman here to kick off the ONE-YEAR CELEBRATION!

I encourage you to not just gawk at Rihanna herself but to look at her fashion choices (because you ladies could get an idea of what to wear if you're going to vacation this holiday season), as well as admiring the background scenery.

The Only Jaiden Photo Shoot: 'MY UNPREDICTABLE BATTLE'

It's finally here!!! My latest photo shoot that I did with my signature photographer RUFUS SIMS has now reached the web for all (especially supermodels, photographers, and fashion designers, etc.) to see. This guy really captured my vibe, really got the vision that I was looking for.

The theme of my shoot was called 'MY UNPREDICTABLE BATTLE' and the message it aimed to convey was fighting myself to get what I truly wanted: freedom from my own personal bondage and boundaries. My name is Joshua, but my character JAIDEN is a place I escape to and just be FREE. The shoot was simply good work...

...that came with a cold and icy price.

On the day of my photo shoot, there was an unexpected winter storm; I guess Rufus and I should've looked more closely into the weather forecast. That snow came DOWN and was brutal. I know I asked for a scenery of snow on the ground, some ice, and just a mild cold. But let me say, it was all of the above on a GRANDER SCALE. Now I know what veteran models go through.

I was hoping to take a picture by the creek but it was SNOWED OUT. So the talented Rufus Sims and I had to improvise. We did a lot of shots as I was braving the intense cold doing a variety of poses with my frozen hands and feet. But I did my best-- shivering in single-digit wind chills--and Rufus did an EXTRAORDINARY job!

BOW WOW Wears A 'Too-Cool' EYECON '80s Baby T-Shirt! THROOOWBACK!

BOW WOW wore something that many people in my generation can relate to: a T-shirt that has the components of all the things we enjoyed as we were born in the '80s and continued into the '90s. Bow Wow also wore something many of us can relate to: AFFORDABLE CLOTHING!!

Bow did not wear ridiculously expensive clothes, like Kanye usually does. Bow's EYECON '80s BABY T-shirt was only $28, his jacket was a Nike Windrunner for just $80, and the Air Jordan retros were $150!

Any celeb that can rock a cool look for cheap easily goes into my...

Man, I really like that T-shirt. I'm an '80s baby so I enjoyed things like Fresh Prince, Sega/Nintendo, Mario Bros., plastic lunchboxes, Doogie Howser, Ninja Turtles, Boy Meets World, hightop fades, action superhero - EVERYTHING (pillowcase, blankets, even drapes!) and SO MUCH MORE!!

I have promo pics for you that represent 'THE JAIDEN BRAND.' That brand represents a select group of people WORLDWIDE who believe that they have an 'alter ego,'  an ego to where they can escape to a deeper state of mind where they can be worth more than they think they are, they are more adventurous, daring, care-free, giving, out-of-box, A COMPLETE 180 from their 'natural self.'

Being in this state of mind is statistically proven to heighten senses and allows one to do have greater human capabilities. 

I imagine a world where I am 'JAIDEN,' a international superhero who helps people in need, inspires and uplifts, can tackle any obstacle, and correct fashion errors all while looking VERY STYLISH -- the only thing that I don't do as a fashion superhero is that I don't wear a superhero suit *LoL*
